CHETNA has a very humble beginning way back in 1998, when some executives of NTPC with a motto of serving the impoverished people of the the society (in the nearby villages of NTPC Kahalgoan) started this Organisation.

 

The honorable GM of NTPC Kahalgaon at that time Mr. R.C.Shrivastava, endorsed this Vision and founded CHETNA, he was assisted by Mr. Biswanath Mukherjee (President of CHETNA) and Mr. S.K.Panda (G.S-Chetna).

 

Since its inception CHETNA is working relentlessly for the Socio-Economic and Educational upliftment of the society and has successfully designed and implemented a plethora of Programmes exculsively meant or the socio-economic elevation and Educational upliftment of the society.

 

CHETNA is privileged to work in close co-ordination and support from NTPC Management, CSR group of NTPC and SHRISTI SAMAJ.

 

CHETNA is indebted to honorable GM(Kahalgaon) Sh. Subhasis Ghosh for the persistent support in materialising all our development programmes.

 

Sports to be organised in different villagers.



Computer classes to be organised.



Health awareness programme.



Moral value awarness programme.



Talented students of nearby High Schools to be rewarded.



Libraries of different villages to be facilitated with books,accessories.



Cultural program to be organized in different villages.



20 Nos sewing machines to be distributed among village women for their livelihood.
